Projects and Needs

 (In US $)

PROJECT 1:  BASIC NEEDS GRANTS FOR NEEDY STUDENTS
Many of our students come from very low income families.  Government funding covers basic living costs -- food, shared dorm room, and school with small classes.  Please consider providing a Basic Spending Money grant for one of these students so he or she can purchase shampoo, toothpaste, an occasional slice of pizza on school outings, a new pair of shoes each year, and other basic needs. Recommended $150 per student per year

PROJECT 2:  SUPPORT FOR NEEDY GRADUATES
When students from difficult backgrounds graduate, they are still without financial and other resources.  The Village provides ongoing support in the form of advocacy with the Israel Defense Forces, post-secondary studies, and emotional support.  We also have housing on campus for up to four students.  We rely on generous donors to provide:
  • Packages for lone, low-income soldiers   $250 per year needed
  • College or vocational scholarships (post-Army service) -- $1,200 per graduate
  • Counseling
  • Other specific needs, including medical and dental
